NOC.POSTNUKE.COM Project Submission Policy

Authors: PostNuke Development Team (http://noc.postnuke.com/projects/phoenix/)
Last Changes: 2002.02.10

1. Submission requirements

The following are the minimum requirements in order to expedite your new project request approval.

  1. Make sure you provide a solid, clear description of your project. Please do not use a quarter of a line or else we will be forced to reject it due to the lack of information.
  2. If possible add a link to your current web site home page.
  3. Please review and accept our Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy.
  4. New projects which have no prior work or code need to make their case even more strongly than those with existing code in order to avoid orphan projects at the NOC. New startups will be allowed but if in a reasonable time the project shows no sign of progress they will be suspended and then deleted from the NOC if no activity exist. This will allow anybody else to claim the name of the project for his/her team instead.

2. Submitting more than one project

I you plan to host more than a single project at the NOC, please be aware that we are not going to provide more than the resources necessary to setup one project for one developer at the beginning.
What does this mean? Let's say that you're planning on requesting to host your module called "Mod1" and your other module "Mod2" at the NOC. You can submit a request for Mod1 following all the steps detailed before. Once Mod1 will be properly setup and actually used by you and your development team and some content will be online, you will be able to request the resources for Mod2, and so on.
We are doing this because we want to limit the amount of inactive and empty projects and we also want each developer to learn how to use the tools before venturing in managing more than one project.

3. Acceptance and/or rejection e-mail

Please read carefully the e-mail you will get on approval or rejection. If you're project has been rejected you will find the cause in the mail's body. If you think that something went wrong and your project should be accepted instead, you can appeal at the New Project Submissions forum at http://noc.postnuke.com/projects/phoenix/
In this case, please state your problem clearly and please also add an extensive explanation of the reason why your project should be accepted.
